first blog

Hi, my name is Sarah I am a 33 year old mother of 2. I am married to my wonderful husband who I met at the age of 15. I am proud of the fact he was my first love and we have stood the test of time.  Our children are 10 and 7 they keep us on our toes that's for sure.

I have decided to start this blog just to keep track of personal achievements in my journey to lose weight and get fit.

I have never really been happy with my body although I am not huge I am over weight and need to do something about it. I have tried to go it alone and have stopped eating chocolate (I am on my 11th week which is amazing for me as I was eating way too much, embarrassed to say I was spending at least 3 or 4 pounds a day on chocolate and other un healthy "goodies") I have dramatically improved my diet and by eating sensibly have managed to lose 10 pounds in the last 11 weeks.

I am now struggling and finding it hard to motivate myself to exercise and really need a kick up the bum. I am a quitter and never stick to anything. I am not gifted with any key skills when it comes to physical activity, no stamina no co-ordination no flexibility which is probably why when I was a child at school I was always the kid no one wanted on their team or got ridiculed for not catching the ball or not being quick enough.  I was never encouraged to take part in clubs and activities or motivated to persist and never give up, resulting in lack of confidence and no self belief.

While browsing facebook the other day I saw a photo of a lady that really caught my eye it was a before and after photo of her body shape change after a 12 week course of commando fitness, I clicked on the link and have signed myself up for the same course starting in April.

I know its going to be tough but I feel its time to make a change and if this lady can get a flat stomach then there should be no reason why I cant, as long as I follow the plan. I have been looking at photos and testimonials on the website and most people have lost at least a stone in the first 4 weeks which I think is amazing.

I am planning on blogging my  thoughts fears and hopes along with my results and progress, even if nobody reads it, its will be good for me to keep track of my own personal journey. But the boost will be fantastic if I manage to inspire someone else along the way to change their life for the better.
